How soon can I be seen?
Most patients are seen the same day or the next. Call (602) 462-5559 and we will tell you what is open today.
Should I choose the pill or the procedure?
Both are safe and effective when a licensed doctor provides them. The abortion pill is an option from 5 to 15 weeks and can be taken at home. Surgical abortion is done in our office through 15 weeks and is usually over in under 5 minutes. Dr. Yunis goes over both with you and helps you pick.
How much is the abortion pill?
$449, the lowest price in Arizona. The 2-week follow-up visit is included. For surgical pricing, call (602) 462-5559. See all prices.
Can I take the pill at home?
Yes. The doctor can give you the medication at your first appointment, and you can take it at home as he directs. You come back for a follow-up about two weeks later. That visit is included in the price.
Does the surgical procedure hurt?
You receive IV twilight sedation, so most patients remember very little. Some cramping afterward is normal.
How long does surgical abortion take?
The procedure itself usually takes less than 5 minutes. Most women are back to normal activity the same afternoon.
Can I get an IUD at the same visit?
Yes. Many patients have a Mirena IUD placed during the same visit, including while they are sedated for a surgical procedure.
Is my visit private?
Yes. We are a private doctor's office with an all-female support staff, and your medical records are protected by federal privacy law (HIPAA).
Do you speak Spanish?
Yes. Our staff is bilingual, and this whole website is also available in Spanish.
Do you offer Plan B?
Yes. Plan B works best the sooner you take it, so call us as early in the day as you can.
Do you do pregnancy tests and ultrasounds?
Yes. An ultrasound shows how far along you are, which decides which options are open to you. See pregnancy testing and ultrasound.
When should I call you after my abortion?
Call right away, or go to the nearest emergency room if you cannot reach us, if you soak through two thick pads an hour for two hours in a row, have severe pain that does not ease, have a fever of 100.4°F or higher for more than 24 hours, or keep vomiting.
